Welcome The Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts(FACA)was established in September 1993 and opened for enrolment in the July session, 1994/1995. The programmes offered were approved by the Higher Learning Committee of the Malaysian Ministry of Education in 2 June 1994 and were given recognition by the Public Service Department on 14 January 1999. The first enrolment of undergraduate students in 1994 was 26 students. By 2004 the number had increased to 213 undergraduate students, which was an increase of 87.4%. In 2004, the total number of students at the faculty was 522. In addition, there were 8 postgraduate students. Objective

1. To provide a wide platform for students to explore the nature of art and design from both aspects of theory and practice.

2. To equip students with a diversity of knowledge that involves artistic skill, technical capability and competency in management.

3. To produce graduates with outstanding artistic, technical, and analytical skills. One who are articulate and well informed of the history, theory, aesthetics, and the importance of art in our society, and able to adapt to the demands of a rapidly changing world.
