Bubur Lambuk Ramadhan Sharing
In the spirit of Ramadhan, staff from the Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts organised a Bubur Lambuk distribution activity on 10 March 2026 at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. Prepared together by FACA staff, the bubur lambuk was distributed to UNIMAS staff and students, fostering a sense of community, generosity, and togetherness during the holy month of Ramadhan.

Hydra Warriors Bring Home 4 Medals
Hydra Warriors from Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts, in collaboration with Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and Faculty of Health and Medicine Sciences, proudly represented their teams at Sukan Air UNIMAS. Their strong teamwork and determination led to an impressive achievement of 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze medals.

MUSPRO Series XIX: Symphony of Endless Love
Organised by the Music Programme, Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts, MUSPRO Series XIX: Symphony of Endless Love brought together talented performers and audiences for a memorable night of musical expression at Dewan UNIMAS Kampus Timur, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. The concert was further enlivened by a special appearance from invited artist Sufian Suhaimi, creating a truly captivating symphony of love, music, and shared moments.

Ruai FACA: Spirit of Celebration (2nd Edition)
Organised by Year 2 Art Management students under GKP2194 Pengurusan Acara Seni Lanjutan. Held on 8 January 2026 at Dewan Delima DeTAR Putra, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, the event featured creative ethnic dance, modern dance, and band competitions, organised by 169 students and attended by over 800 participants and visitors. The program concluded with “Colour of Borneo: Run of Unity” on 11 January.

Dean’s Award Ceremony 2025
The Dean’s Award by the Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, was held on 18 December 2025 to recognise the academic excellence of students for the 2024/2025 Session. A total of 226 students received the award in appreciation of their outstanding academic achievements.

FACA Synergy Retreat 2025
The Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts will organise FACA Synergy Retreat 2025 from 12–14 December 2025 at Borneo Empurau Farm and Resort. This retreat aims to strengthen collaboration, strategic planning, and team spirit among staff through workshops, engagement sessions, team-building activities, and the FACA Appreciation Dinner.

eCITRA 2025: Duality Between Tactile & Virtual
Held from 20 October – 20 November 2025 at the FACA Gallery, Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, this exhibition showcased creativity, innovation, technology, and research in the arts. The theme “Duality: Between Tactile & Virtual” explored how artists and designers bridge the physical and digital worlds through contemporary artistic practices,presenting inspiring works and new perspectives on the evolving art landscape in Sarawak and Malaysia.

PETRONAS–P. Ramlee Chair (PRC) Symposium 2025
Held on 24–25 September 2025 at 56 Hotel, the PETRONAS–P. Ramlee Chair Symposium was hosted by the Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. The two-day event brought together scholars, practitioners, and students to share research and creative ideas through presentations, discussions, and collaborative sessions, including a chapter-writing workshop for the upcoming PRC research book.
