Research Area concentrated in major expertise such as Design Technology, Animation, Cinematography, Fine Arts, Music, Arts Management, and Drama and Theatre.
Research is any systematic activity that deals directly with the advancement of knowledge through scholarly, scientific and creative activities. This includes works of discovery, interpretation or application of knowledge which are discussed with or evaluated by the wider community of academic peers. These activities are anticipated to contribute toward the discoveries of knowledge advancement as well as wealth creation and nation building. A university research project refers to any project under the responsibility or supervision of the university researchers. This includes projects with or without internal or external funding. The research comprises of but not limited to the following: fundamental, experimental, exploratory or applied and prototype.
To sustain the fast-growing of research activities within the Faculty, the management has identified certain niche-areas that need to be grouped in order to narrow the gaps between UNIMAS and the community. UNIMAS research niche areas:
(i) Biodiversity and Environmental Conservation;
(ii) Sustainable Community Transformation and
(iii) Information, Communication and Creative Technology.
