Overview
Research Cluster 1: Creative Arts and Technology explores the dynamic intersection between artistic expression and technological innovation. Focusing on both theoretical and practice-based research, the cluster addresses key areas such as digital storytelling, generative art, immersive media (AR/VR), interactive design through digital means. Through art exhibitions, prototypes, publications, and partnerships with creative industries, the cluster contributes to innovation in animation, fine arts, film and creative content creations, while critically reflecting on the ethical, social, and cultural implications of technology in the arts.
Aim
To explore and advance the integration of digital technologies in the creative arts, fostering innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and cultural impact.
Objectives:
- To investigate how technologies such as AI, AR/VR, and interactive media transform creative practices
- To support both theoretical and practice-based research in digital arts
- To encourage collaboration among artists, technologists and researchers to produce exhibitions, publications, and prototypes that engage researchers, public and industry audiences.
